Using an SD card

Sometimes you may have a whole colection of e-books to move to a new device. At these times, it can be easier to load the files on to an SD card, to insert into your eReader.

You'll need the following for this job:

Please note: The following devices DO NOT have a Micro SD slot: Kobo Glo HD, Kobo Touch 2.0, and Kobo Mini.

  1. Using a suitable SD Card Adapter plug your MicroSD card into your computer. It should appear as a drive or folder.
  2. On your computer, select the ePubs you want to add to your eReader.
  3. Copy+Paste or Drag-and-Drop them into your Micro SD card folder.
  4. When the books have all been copied across, eject and remove the MicroSD card from your computer.
  5. Ensure your eReader is turned off.
  6. Pop the Micro SD card into the slot on your eReader. This is usually underneath the back cover.
  7. Start up your eReader again. Give it a few minutes, and your books will appear.
  8. Don't forget: when you take your Micro SD card out of your eReader, your books will disappear from your eReader's library.
